Look at these pics. Babe right? I stumbled across Satu Maaraneen a few weeks ago & I have become totally in awe of her. She is also french so I adore her even more. The design work is so simple & refreshing to see. There are so many digitally developed prints out there recently & this is the opposite. So clean, fresh, exciting yet sophisticated. She has recently done a collaboration with Marrimekko which is worth a look at. To see more of her stunning designs take a look at her website here

How absolutely perfect is the Caroline Herrera spring collection? When I first stumbled across it I thought I was dreaming. seriously. The printed designs, the garment fluidity and sheer elegance makes me weak at the knees. I'm really inspired by the placement of the prints for my own collection. It looks quite unconventional from the usual Caroline Herrera elegance, but it works. The playful pops of colour on such feminine fabrics are just perfect. I had better stop swooning now.

But you can see the full Carolina Herrera Spring 2013 Collection here. Look with caution and sit comfortably, you will be staring for hours.

Here are a few snippets of my design work over the past few weeks. It has been a very busy few weeks and I have been experimenting as much as I possibly can in the work shop. I'm trying to perfect my screen printing techniques for my final collection and I am concentrating on variations of colour alongside fluidity of colour. I really love the pops of neon colours within but I'm realising that I need to restrain from using neon too much for fear of my collection looking like it has just come out of an 80's acid rave. Take a look at my website for more colourful snaps.
