Je t'aime Paris

I have been trying to find inspiration for my summer project, My vava voom always comes from architecture or structure but I have struggled to find something new and challenging. So I have been browsing through my old pictures of a trip to Paris I took two years ago (taken to by my lovely mister) and have finally found my starting point. Here are some pictures below. I have edited them slightly to allow me to draw using an aged technique. These pictures bring back so many memories..I really want to live in Paris.

There seems to be a lot of organic colours in my home at the moment, maybe I am trying to compensate for the lack of summer we have had? I really love an aged green with dark wood, earthy colours I seem to be drawn to. I have snapped a few bits of my home for you to see the colour combo below...summer don't live her anymore.

summer tricks

I had a little play around last week using the technique of hand weaving and a few contrasting coloured yarn. I wanted to produce a few pieces with colours that'd brighten up your home. I put them in to frames, arranged them as a window display and photographed them. Here is the result
